Cannonier is already booked. Allen really really needs a Top 5 guy, though. He has been fighting backwards for a long time. Rebooking the Vettori fight might not be a bad idea given how pedestrian Allen looked here, but alternatively I guess Strickland is the only guy who makes sense. He hasn't sounded too keen on taking contender fights lately, but maybe he'd make an exception for Allen considering the circumstances.

Darren Elkins is a step backwards for Damon and a weird one IMO. Jackson is like a Top 25ish guy at Featherweight who is on the cusp of being ranked. Elkins... is not. Damon should fight someone like Nelson, Wood, Naimov, etc.

Brendan Allen seems to have become a house fighter for U Fight Cheap and I'm baffled as to why.

Allen deserves a fight higher than Vettori but I'm really not sure if he should. Vettori IMO would be the perfect test to see if he can really hang. If you can't outclass Vettori you shouldn't even think about getting in there with guys like Rob, Cannonier, Sean, etc...
