Finally, just a thanks to everyone that has read these lists and commented on them etc. I love doing these (although I am looking forward to a break from it) and if others enjoy reading them them that’s awesome. I’ll probably leave it 2 years again like last time to give time for the new crop of prospects to come through, but this time next year I will probably do another list of top amateur prospects like I did last year (link: http://forums.sherdog.com/threads/mattandbenny’s-top-30-amateur-prospects-2016.3140851/).

Thanks again man for all the work!

In reward, I'll give you the name of that LHW I hinted at.

Karl Reed.

Ranked NCAA D2 wrestler, current coach for the Limestone College D2 wrestling program. Wonderboy's main training partner and Ray Thompson's main prodigy (aside from his son of course). He also does training camps with Chris Weidman. He's been training under Ray for a few years now, so his karate kickboxing is evolving fast. He weighs in at about 230, and moves like a WW. Basically he's a super athletic wrestler with Wonderboy's striking.

They paired him up with one dimensional wrestlers in most of his ammy fights, so a handful of his ammy fights are him just outwrestling and beating up guys on the ground. Here's a clip of his striking though:

Awesome he looks legit - i didn't even have him on my radar to be honest. Will keep an eye on his career.

check out my undefeated list in my sig, some aren't prospects, but others past the higher win totals are young

Shorty Torres didn't have the necesary fights ATM you made the list?

You shouldngive him a pass like you did with Dern

great work, love your threads as much as Paul's

1 Year Update

As there will be no prospect list this year, i thought i'd do a quick 1 year update of last year's undefeated fighters list.

Statistics:
Of the 380 fighters profiled, 166 (43.7%) are no longer undefeated whilst 214 (56.3%) still have their undefeated records intact.
61 fighters (16.1%) did not fight in 2017 - the other 319 (85.9%) all had at least 1 fight.
The 380 fighters had 674 fights between them in 2017 and went a combined 478-196 - a 70.9% win ratio.
41 of the fighters (10.8%) ere signed by either UFC or Bellator - 34 (9.0%) by UFC & 7 (1.8%) by Bellator.

Picture showing signings:

If anyone wants the full list with the update on all 380 fighters etc then drop me a message and i can e-mail the spreadsheet accross.

Storley is in bellator should be fun to see how he does.
