This is coming soon. It's not seamless.

You may (probably will) experience login issues. To correct it clear your cookies and cache and RESTART YOUR BROWSER. Log back in and tick the "Stay logged in" box.
Stay logged in is checked by default now.

But guess what? You'll probably be logged out again if you access the site from your history or bookmarks . You either need to delete or edit your favorites to replace http with https.

Http links in our pages can also log you out. They should be fixed automatically but we know some will have to be fixed manually.

If you are unable to log in and do not get an error message make sure you have accept cookies enabled. You may have to reenable it for this site. It is possible for that to get disabled during the transition.

I think we'll do this next week. No sense ruining a perfectly good weekend.

When it starts I'll find a subtle way to let you know so there's no panic.

We were in the neighborhood cleaning out some gutters and have an extra can of https on truck. We're going to try to use it here before it spoils.

It smells like HTTPS in here.

For those still encountering problems:

Clear your history and update SD forum favorites to https. The best way is to delete them and start over. If you load http links while logged in, you will be logged out. It's like visiting another website. Try backspacing to be logged back in.
