As in current competitors? Yeah. Some of the best. I’ve been shown some fucked up shit. But I also think most pro athletes are strange people regardless.

Sure, it's fair to women. From an evolutionary perspective, a mansmjib is to impregnate as many women as possible. A woman's is to be impregnated by the strongest man possible. When a woman just gives it up, she is weakening the species by accepting inferior genetic material from whomever offers it, and lowering the chance of a strong male staying around to increase the odds if raising children to adulthood.

Slut shaming is an evolutionary instinct that holds society intact and prevents women's sexuality from running rampant. No man with any sense wifes up a washed up party slut. Because sluts are damaged goods.

I don't think pro athletes are strange people in the true sense of the word. A lot of athletes in general, especially high level/pro athletes, in particular, tend to be douche bags in real life. They get a pass for being dicks/bad behavior because of sport/celebrity hero worship by the media, fans, and sport culture world.

Evolution doesn't work exactly like either of those two models you provided. But even assuming it worked exactly like that, you could apply either model to either gender.

You say males have a job to impregnate as many different females as possible. I am guessing this is to maximize genetic diversity in their offspring? So why would females not have the same job to protect the species? If a female has ten children with ten different guys, her offspring now have way more genetic diversity than if she had ten children with the same father. Greater genetic diversity = greater chance of species survival.

This statement is logically impossible.

Assuming we are talking about traditional marriage (one man and one woman), it is literally not possible. If women almost always marry up, then men must almost always marry down.

I mean you do see how that statement you just made is in fact impossible, right? Marriage is a 1:1 pairing between a man and a woman. For every one woman that marries up, exactly one man must marry down. Because they are marrying each other.

Nah. That's just a little ditty kids hear in high school biology class because it's short and easy (so of course you will hear it in ordinary discussions online too).

You missed the obvious dynamic here, which is that sperm is cheap, and eggs are dear. For what good reason does a man like the thought of macking on every hot piece of ass he sees? Because of some new-aged idea of diversity? Quite the opposite in fact; because it maximizes a certain kind of bloodline (over others); his. A man can sleep around because it's easy for him to do so (read: put lots of buns in an oven).

On the other hand, having a baby is something of a significant logistical challenge, so naturally when making such a big leap in investment, it would pay to make sure it's with a suitably high value partner (thus hopefully maximising the fitness of her bloodline).

Which is also why, for men, there can too women be seemingly sociopathic distinctions between the feelings of affection and sexual attraction, while for women the feeling of emotional attachment and sexual attraction are oft more or less one and the same feeling, and there can be too men a seemingly sociopathic ability to quickly disregard attachments with an old mate that seemingly demonstrated low value, and just as easily form new attachments with a new one, that seemingly demonstrated higher value in accordance with her limbic system's adjudication criteria, feeling disgusted by the idea of her highly limited and valuable investment wasted on the seemingly low value mate (up too and including feeling disgusted by her own children even sired by the same).

Of course no party involved needs to be consciously aware of such logic at work in order to follow it; only for the aggregate effect of motive instincts at work to ultimately develop such outcomes, one way or another. (In fact, it can in certain ways actually be adaptive for a subject to be solipsistically un-self-aware; what better actor than an actor who actually earnestly believes their bull?)
