Miocic vs Fedor (in his prime)

Prime Fedor was too fast standing for all the Heavies and too smooth on the ground. KO standing by Fedor or Armbar.

If you knew anything about Nog you would know he started fighting in 1999 and took more damage than any HW ever. He still managed to be either the #1 or #2 HW in the world from 2001 to 2008.

Cain was much younger and had only been fighting for 3.5 years while Nog was in his 12th year. Both Nog and Randy were both past It which made it a great fight.

If you think the 2010 Nog was the same as the 2004 Nog that fought Sergei(who has better boxing and hits harder than Cain) then you need to get your eyes checked.

Fighters do age and decline in their 30s. Look at Cain and JDS. They are already on the decline.

Nog probably had more than 20 surgeries. nog is in his 40s, but in reality  he is fucking 100 years old.

Ricardo arona
Babel
Semmy schilt
Heath herring
Big nog x 2
Mark Coleman x 2
Kevin randleman
mirko cro cop
Mark hunt
Tim Sylvia
Andrei arlovski

Other than Mark Coleman, fedor fought everyone listed when they were young, in prime, and not at the twilight of their careers of completely SHOT

But no no, stipe streak of a completely fucking shot arlovski, a shot jds, and 2 over the hill fighters who are pushing 40 and at the very end of their careers in overeem and Werdum, is The BEST streak ever seen ? Actually ALL 4 of these guys are pretty much at the end of their careers...LOL

Get the fuck out of here

Honestly even Coleman wasn't shot in 2004 for me, he'd been around for awhile but wasn't that old in ring years plus likely had "help" as with Randy and Hendo, he still looked as fast/explosive as ever to me. 2006 Coleman was starting to show his age more yet really I think its that long layoff post Fedor before his second UFC run that he drops off massively, 2009 is when he starts to look really old/slow with 2-3 mins of cardio.

That does really highlight an obvious difference though, MMA in the 00's did not have the same amount of legends involved. Even guys like Coleman, Igor, Randleman, etc whilst they were good wins were not viewed as on the level of Fedor, Nog, Crocop, etc as I think people viewed them as more out evolved than anything.

HW over the last decade has a ton more "name" wins that really don't mean nearly as much as the names suggest.

The biggest difference here is stipe has lost before and even in this 'streak' of his he has looked beatable, he was dropped and nearly finished by Overeem twice!

Fedor in his prime looked untouchable, unbeatable. and he had never lost at that point.

It's not even close.

Stipe is good, fedor was great. Prime vs Prime Fedor's finishes him inside 10 minutes.

Fedor didn't even go down against Fujita lol

Reem tko's stipe if he goes for strikes instead of a sub. Big difference there.

That and Crocop breaking his nose(but not really rocking him) are the only times he was hurt by a strike until Hendo, Before his decline as well Fedor had the lowest strikes taken per minute ratio in MMA history which is insane as a HW.

His defence was not "showy" like Andersons showboating but he was one of the most effective slipers of punchs we've ever seen in the sport. People without technical knowledge miss it but vs Crocop he slips loads of left straights, that and blocking the mid kicks so effectively is arguably the key to his winning that fight, loads of other people tried to pressure Mirko during his prime and bar Hunts mega chin they all got destroyed.

If Stipe chased peak Mirko like he did Overeem and JDS he'd have taken a lot more punishment.

4-4 on U.S. soil. Like 1-4 in drug tested fights.

You get the fuck outta here.

And everyone knows fedor was past it by the Robert fight. Nobody stays in their prime after 10 years. Jesus you are a complete idiot lol, not going to respond To you again.

Yeah we're comparing a guy who only lost by cut stoppage to a guy who got KO'ed by Stefan Struve.

I like Stipe but he is a fireman and former softball player with an average HW chin, not a world class sambo practitioner with HW power and MW speed.

Miocic, while stunned, easily fought off the vaunted Reem guillotine. It's been said he's impossible to choke. Fedor also isn't nearly the boxer of JDS

You should watch that "vaunted" guillotine attempt again. It was a terrible move.

Miocic curbstomps. Inc. bunch of sad losers who worship Fedor as their superhero because they've never achieved anything themselves.

the slow fat 220 5'11 dude on roids is gonna td d1 wrestler who is way more athletic, stronger and faster.yeah......

While the man may not live up to the myth he certainly was not slow. How do you think he survived as a smaller hw?

What does the soil have to do with an MMA fight inside an arena? Are they tennis players now?

Drug tested fights? In the United States? If he was doing steroids in Pride.... why would he stop when he came to the U.S.?

These were the two champions of the big U.S. MMA orgs:

Obviously great representatives of the "clean" U.S. MMA environment.

Don't forget the other UFC HWs that weren't fighting clean either.... like Carwin, JDS, Mir, Bigfoot, Rothwell, Barnett, etc.

fedor would blitz him and then ground and pound the shit out of him resulting in a 1st round stoppage

Yeeeeeah I don't think Fedor's basic swarms of hooks are really going to work on the Stipe we're seeing today.
