So, when looking at graphics cards I skipped researching anything not a 10 series , assuming all 9,7 series would be inferior.
Thinking the natural evolution of the cards would be for example, say 780 was replaced by 960, then 70 then 80 etc and the 10 series replaces them. So a 1030 was faster then the 1050/60/70 etc.
But that does not seem to be the case now looking into it further.
Would it be a better assumption to say that the 760 was replaced by the 960 and the 1060 replaced the 960
And the 780 by the 980 by the 1080?
So the second number set it an identifier on the speed of the card more than the first?
Looking at these two benchmarks the 980 ti rapes the hugely newer 1050ti

Even the 780ti beats the 1050 ti.

So when looking for budget deals on a graphics card I think I messed up royally on looking for a screaming deal on a 1050 ti, when I should have been hunting a 980 ti instead?
What benefits would a 1050ti have over a 980 ti?
Also I found this “new” 980 ti for 89.00 on eBay, 100% positive feedback but think there is a scam there somewhere, it weird with the positive feedback.
They also have a 1080ti for 89.00 also lol.
