Name a non-boxer who you think would have done better vs Floyd than Conor did?

Conor, when all is said and done, and we're being serious, did better than expected. He won a few rounds - no one expected that. Hell, a few so called boxing experts expected that he wouldn't land a punch.

But did he win those rounds by being a better boxer than Floyd, or did he win those rounds because Floyd decided not to do enough to win them? Because it makes all the difference in the world. Floyd barely threw anything in those rounds. It's not difficult to win around against someone who is barely fighting. If anything, it wasn't a case of Conor doing more than expected, but Floyd doing less.

Then again, when you look at the stats, even in those rounds, you still see an enormous gap in skill between the two, because even though Conor threw more, he landed at a much lower percentage than Floyd.

Another thing people need to realize is that Floyd was very far from being in top shape. Conor didn't experience the same Floyd that fought Canelo. Conor faced Floyd maybe at 30%. And he still got stopped.

Conor didn't do anything that impressed me. In fact, i expected him to be tough enough to not to get stopped by the past prime version os someone criticized by the lack of KO power. He couldn't even do that. There were moments where Conor looked like a retard throwing punches. I see no reason to be impressed by what he did.

That's all fair, if you actually believe Floyd let Conor win a few rounds. I don't think he did - why would he? To set up a possible rematch?

You don't know what you're talking about. Do you honestly believe Floyd tried to win those rounds but Conor was just too good for him? Look at the stats, dude. Floyd threw like 5 punches in the first round and still landed at a higher rate than Conor. In the second Floyd landed 50% of his punches, while Conor only landed 19%. That's less than 1 punch for every 5 punches. This shows you the gap in skill between them. Conor won because Floyd decided not to do much in those rounds. He saw Conor was dumb enough to gas himself out and he took advantage of that. That made for a better show to watch and an easier, safer win for Floyd. Both things he wanted.

Everything points to Floyd having barely trained for this fight. 40 yo, 2 years off, very small training camp. To conserve energy and let the mad man threw everything in the first 2 rounds was a perfect strategy. This wasn't about winning points for Floyd. This was about going against his own style so he could finish a much bigger and younger men. Do you honestly believe Floyd was warried about winning rounds? He was focused in finishing Conor and providing a good show. He himself said he was going to get hit because he was gonna fight a different fight. In fact, Floyd predicted the whole fight.

Floyd played Conor like a violin and cut his strings. He made the tough guy look weak. He made the younger guy look older. He made the powerful guy look pillow handed. He outpowered the guy who mocked him for lack of power. The whole fight was one big wonderful irony and there are still retards who claim Conor did great, when in fact he turned out to be everything he accused his opponent of being.

Instead of looking for moral victories, OPEN YOUR EYES and enjoy the irony of the fight. Look at the real story of the event, where the bully ate his words and was humiliated in front of millions by the guy he tried to humiliate for months. LOOK AT THE FUCKING IRONY!!!! Forget who won which rounds, who landed what. LOOK AT THE IRONY!!

It's been about half a year since the McGregor Mayweather fight and there's threads being added on a regular basis. McGregor did exactly everything he set out to do in that fight and then some. The purists who hate his business moves to the point of irrationality have to contend with that and it's gonna continue to make them insane. Looking at the fight realistically is not gonna happen anytime soon.

Anyone likely to make Floyd a pile of cash would have had roughly the same level of success. Go out there, pretend to fight, KO him at some point, make money. Floyd, the ultimate showman and businessman. He might fight Justin Bieber next.

And Bieber might actually do better than Conor if he learns to throw more than arm punches with boxing gloves on.

Floyd fought in a way that allowed Conor to look a lot better than he was. If Floyd wanted to stick and move, use distance and fight Conor the way he fought most other guys, Conor wouldn't have landed 10 punches.

And yes, he could have made weight... if you hide the icecream, the pancakes, the enchiladas, the everything.

Also, Garbrandt!
