I never really got into gaming until SNES came out. I spent a lot of time playing NHL 93, NHL 94, NBA Jam and Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball among so many other great games.

It won it's generations console war pretty decisively, with very few people talking about the master system or 7800 these days.

The fact people are still arguing SNES vs Megadrive indicates there was no clear winner of that generation.

Nobody is arguing snes vs megadrive. Ive never even heard of megadrive until this second.

I prefer SMB3 over SMW, but the rest I agree with.

Technology wise, sure, though there have been steep diminished returns since the PS2 era.

The jump was massive between the NES and SNES. Pretty much every major title was blown out of the water by its sequel on the Super Nintendo.
