So, don’t drive while listening to these, but do take advantage of them:

  1. We Can Fly,” by Rue du Soleil (Café Del Mar)
  2. Canzonetta Sull’aria,” by Mozart
  3. Someone Like You,” by Adele
  4. Pure Shores,” by All Saints
  5. Please Don’t Go,” by Barcelona
  6. Strawberry Swing,” by Coldplay
  7. Watermark,” by Enya
  8. Mellomaniac (Chill Out Mix),” by DJ Shah
  9. Electra,” by Airstream
  10. Weightless,” by Marconi Union
Popped up in my feed. Figured everyone could use a little bit of this.

Ha! I just saw that. Then I came here to see what responses/views this one might have gotten.

Would you move that thread here, or this thread there?

I posted this one first, but that one has already gotten more traffic and views. So I posted a link to this thread in it, and figured I would leave it alone.

You're the mod not me. I defer to you. Just thought I'd point it out.

I only heard the Adele song from the list, and it does not reduce anxiety. My go-to anti-anxiety music is some caveman-core, like Hatebreed.

This is the most relaxing song IMO

That whole album is hypnotic. This is my best friend's favorite band. They're incredible. Maybe it makes more sense to say "he".

This one is more upbeat, but I also find it really soothing:

Awesome. haven't heard that song, but I like it. Is that from their new album?

Those all make me agitated, especially Adele. Guess my brain's fucked up

If I were to listen to Pure Shores it would actually raise my anxiety and get me to feel a bit down.

It reminds me of the time of my childhood and years I could never get back.

I like Pure Shores. The chorus is nice. It was produced by William Orbit who made the excellent Strange Cargo series and Madonna's Ray of light.

I read about Weighless by Marconi Union and bought it on my iPhone. It is very soothing.

I believe so, yes, but I'd have to Google....okay, yep:

My freshman year roommate at the uni was a music major obsessed with Gorillaz & Stankonia. I liked them, but didn't really listen to them outside their hits. When I came around to them again with my best friend now I was always listening to the songs on his playlist, or via his YouTube channel, so I wasn't hearing them as albums. Here's an older one I also love. I also find it soothing. Gorillaz really just therapeutic:

Above and Beyond is my stress/anxiety reduction system these days
