Nevada commission approves lighter glove size for Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor

so Mayweather agreed and actually pushed for smaller gloves?!
Why?

It benefits the fighter that lands the most so why wouldn't he want to use the same gloves he's used pretty much his entire career.

Who, exactly, is surprised by this?

When has the NSAC ever not caved-in when vast amounts of money was involved? They let Jermaine fight with half his brain hanging out, FFS.
I actually am a little surprised by this.

It just means that Macgregor's face will be a lil more busted up.

The only thing these gloves will do is make Conor's gut feel Floyd's knuckles more.

Bigger gloves protect the hands, not your brain. I would say the smaller gloves favor Conor because Floyd has baby hands made of fragile glass. And best believe they will be touching Conor repeatedly.

Floyd will let him come out strong and then hit him with that one stiff ass jab, which historically has backed off even the toughest of boxers. The fight will go on after that, but it will already be over.
