The car has armor plating, but they could not get the bullet proof glass. What the point of the armor plating if it a car like a regular sedan that is very airy, and has good views from inside?

I watched it. One of the best shows the BBC has put out in ages. It requires a serious amount of suspension of disbelief for some parts, but it's fast paced, well written and has a very strong cast, with the Actor Formerly Known as the King in the North giving a great performance in the titular role.
