Hey guys as the title says im looking for a heavy, bag, i am new to combat sports, I am trying to gain weight as I have Crohns disease, so its hard to keep on weight, im 5'9 120-125 pounds. So im giving it a shot, trying to get healthier and stronger and hopefully will be joining some classes in the next month or so, but right now I want to start at home(not going to lie, im a little anxious about joining a boxing or mma gym) and so far I am buying everything I need, and im not trying to break the bank too much. I recently got some Ringside Apex bag gloves and wraps, stand, speed bag and stand, etc now im looking for a 100 pound bag that isnt more then 150 bucks and comes pre-filled. I am either going for a Neverlast(ive heard bad things but ive also heard they changed the filling issues and they are less of a problem sinking to the bottom now?) or Titles 100 pound bag which costs more and doesnt have straps but uses chains(i prefer straps, seems to be less noisy) . I am open to suggestions being new, if you have other brands in my price range let me know why you recommend them, im also open to other gear education and what i should and shouldnt get/stay away from.

PS. if I said anything stupid, please dont flame me, im new, please educate me if i have. Thank you in advance.

Hey, congrats on getting into a fun if it exhausting new hobby!

Firstly I strongly suggest you go ahead and go to a gym. I know its REALLY intimidating but the longer you put it off the more intimidating it will get since you'll build it up as this terrifying thing. Also, going means you'll get hands on instruction before you can build bad habits that are harder to correct, so there's that.

Stay away from Everlast. They fill their bags cheaply and use sandbags haphazardly placed that can really hurt your fists if you hit them wrong.

The water bags that are 60-80 pounds are great and should cost less (especially with shipping) and are gentler on your joints.

Hey thank you for the reply, Ill think about joining a gym soon, i guess i already built that nervousness up, and im sure most people in the gym wouldnt care im new or skinny, but its just a mental block i need to hurdle haha.
I like the titanic bag, although its a weird weight at 110 pounds, I will look more into that one. I read up on bags before posting this and most people seemed to recommend nothing under 100 pounds for a starting bag even for my size, would anyone else be able to confirm this? thanks.

To be honest 80-100 pounds isn't really thar big a deal when you start. Title is also selling this one:

At 100 pounds for less than 100$ if you're interested.

I saw that one but the chains turned me off, but maybe i shouldnt be so narrow minded, will see, the titanic is pretty nice though, thank you very much for your help so far.

If you're super worried about the noise from the chains but you still want to stay under $150 you might want to think about this body bag:

It's fine at 65 pounds and really teaches you to place your punches, but gives you some added flexibility of body shots and hooks.

Thats seems like it would make a great second bag choice, but im looking more towards the 80-100 pound 4/6 foot variety, thank you very much for working with me.

EDIT: So far the titanic bag looks like its winning, ill will be making my purchase in the next few days as i read more. I also seem to like what I hear about water bags like this

So i ended up going for the liquid shock foam/water bag after reading on the joint benefits and the bag feeling more "human like" ill be sure to do a beginners review when i get the chance. I also picked up a title atomic pro speed bag size smal(6x8) hopefully its a decent bag. If anyone has any other recommendations for home trainning i am more then willing to listen.

speed bag i got.
