That pic is actually from a local sale on Craigslist that's $400 but they swapped the 3 gig 1060 with a 1050 Ti. Still a good deal though.

    Is a 1050 good for 1920x1080 gaming, or do you need a 1060 ?
And how much does it matter if it's a 1050 TI ?

No way I would get regular 1050.

1050 Ti is a good choice but the price right now is super inflated since the sub $200 market is the weakest it's been in some time. 1060 3GB crushes it for only $50 more but requires a better powersupply

1050 is fine for 1080p. You won't maintain 60+ FPS though like you would with a 1060.
Aren't the prices getting inflated because of all this damn crypto mining nonsense?

The regular 1050 (non ti) isn't really mean't for current gaming. It was basically made for people who wanted just enough juice to run some esports games at good settings (CS go, league, starcraft 2, Dota2).

Performance wise it's a tad faster than an AMD 7870ghz which was a mid tier card over 5 years ago. Even at 1080p your going to have to turn at least some of the base settings to lowest on modern games and even then you might occasionally see dips below 30fps (especially since those eyeing budget cards usually don't have the best CPU's paired up with it).

Curious as to what the rest of his specs are (if it's a fairly decent computer then i might try to aim higher)

1050TI or better. In the past two or so weeks, I've seen 1050ti on sale for 120$. Over the course of a month or so, you'll see the Zotac 1060 3gb mini on sale for 175 or the zotac1060 6gb for 240$, both of which are solid deals for the relative power.

    I used a 1050ti with a G4560 and I was hitting 50+ fps at medium/high settings at 1080p on most games.

Cards are starting to settle back down to the price they were before, but they still have a ways to drop. On black friday, RX580's were on sale for their MSRP. The only cards that weren't affected were the 1080's.

That's not true. It maintains an average of above 30 FPS even at the highest detail level.

Paypal is offering a 2 year subscription to ShopRunner for free. ShopRunner is a 2 day shipping service for websites and Newegg is one of those sites.

In Win Aurora case fans with detachable cables. The fans can be daisy chained together and you can hook an RGB strip to them. The LED's are addressable so you can do all the crazy led stuff. The daisy chain part needs to be an industry standard on high end fans.
Amazon has a kit with 3 120mm fans, the controller, and 2 300mm rgb strips for $80

Any video editors here ?. I'm think of buying Pinnacle Studio 21.
Pinnacle didn't have a good name for video programs.
But according to many reviews version 21 is legit.

Who has experience with it ?

Paul's video had a ball park figure, but I don't recall what it was.

Normally I'd say stretch your budget a little and get a GTX 1060 6gb, but they're sold out everywhere. There's the 3gb version in your price range, but they've jumped in price by 25% recently and that makes them a poor value.
TBH, I really don't know what to tell you.
