Going all in on the ground game. Big boost.
Vikings contacted Brees just to see if he would be interested. Not gonna lie, I would have loved to see that happen just for the salt that flow.
Nice, the giants have cap space for Jonathan Stewart! Maybe we can jump into the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes!
$30M guaranteed apparently.
Watcans willbe hurt by week 3
Vermeil era 2.0 in KC begins. Sick offense and trash defense!
Too much for Watkins. Hes good obviously but hes totally unreliable. Hes making as much as Nuk lmao.
That reminds me, who is KC going to have at QB this season? Didn't they agree to trade Smith already? Is Mahomes who they are betting on?
Was hoping he'd stay, but I knew the money would be too much for Dallas. Thought for sure he'd go to Indy with his LB coach now being their DC, but KC is a good spot for him too.
Their new QB has a lot of weapons.
LOL at the Chiefs signing Sammy "screen pass" Watkins AFTER getting rid of Alex Smith.
Play caller is still the same
Still needs a bit of help on the oline
Watkins is a legit deep threat...
Think youve got Sammy mixed up with Landry.
For sure, but fuck. Hunt, Hill, Kelce, Watkins. Thats serious business.
Chiefs are going to have a lot of toys for Mahomes in his first couple years as a starter. Hope Watkins can stay on the field.
Hitchens seems like an interesting signing, per their other needs on defense...but Hitchens + Ragland will be a better duo than any year with DJ + some scrub when the Chiefs switched to a 3-4 in 2010.
The money makes me nervous, as Dorsey doomed them to salaray cap hell theyre just getting out of, but Im never going to get mad at a team for signing legitimate talent.
Watkins is most productive as a screen receiver, as he's middling in traffic. Nearly 50% of his catches in college were screens.
The point is that he would have been perfect for Smith, who liked high percentage, low risk throws.
In the NFL he has averaged over 15 ypc every year of his career.
