Some of his fans are fine, but the ones calling him the GOAT were obviously just trolling or didn't know anything about MMA outside of Conor.

Agreed. However, a fighters fans shouldn't alter your perception of their accomplishments.
 
Conor is in a different category, you can't compare what he accomplished to a GSP, Silva, Jones or DJ. I think Conor will be remembered for the records he broke and the attention he brought to the sport. It's difficult to compare him to the legends of the sport when he currently has no title defenses. He is definitely a hall of famer in my opinion.

He's already one of the greats, there's still time for him to realistically prove he deserves to be called the GOAT by the time his career is done.

He's won belts in two weight classes; He made both champs look like chumps. He's won fights in three divisions, he's stopped 19 out of 21 of his victims (and it never took him more than two rounds to do it), and he almost always makes his opponents look like easy work.

I think it's more a case of why debate something that is not debatable, Conor has already surpassed everyone in the game....

He's made the game his own.
 
when everyone knows you are already the goat it becomes unneeded to call him the gaot.

No point in stating the obvious. Everyone's already accepted Conor is the GOAT and there's not many disputing it. But good to know that his haters are still thinking about him non-stop lol
