Relic Entertainment is in charge of that game. Ensemble studio responsible for all other AoE games was ditched for this instalment.

So, what that means exactly?

That means we will get a AoE based in modern era most likely because RE specialize in this kind of games, check link below:

So that means tanks, soldiers, planes and so on.

Personally I don't like it one bit. I am sorry. I think there is plenty games on the market already with modern/futuristic feel such as Company of Heroes, dying SC2, Warhammer and others and I don't think RTS needs another game like that. Should be kept old school in my opinion.

I reckon it's just going to do more ages start with cavemen and probably go into the future.

The Warhammer games had pretty good little hand-to-hand battles.

Ensemble Studios was shut down in 2008.

Also afaik there has been no information regarding a time period so I think you're jumping the gun.

Lastly, I can't wake for this game and the definitive editions of the original trilogy.

Stick with the concequers expansion set.

Relic is gonna do this game? FUCK, every DoW game they have done has been worse than the last, nice move Microsoft, you fucked this up from the get go, AoE is a great franchise with people that still play online the last old ass game and you do this?
