Awesome trailer.... up until the Metal Gear pulls out a lightsaber and walks upright.

And WTF is up with calling it 'The Ultimate Metal Gear' ???

The reviews have convinced me not to buy this game at full price.

No legit English game site has given it less than a 9/10, yet they all criticize the story, whether for the pacing or the amount of story. Sounds like the game is incomplete because of Kojima's falling out with Konami.

Apparently there are no longer any long codec conversations. And apparently Kiefer has almost no dialogue as Big Boss; one reviewer threw out a number like 50 lines? That's fucked up, there's no way Kojima originally intended it to be that way.

But the gameplay is supposed to make up for all that.

We'll see. Maybe it is intentional because of the transition to a sandbox game, but the other reviews I read described the performance as almost silent, and offputting. Also mentioned that the boss battles and character development overall were subdued compared to the other titles. All that stuff is central to the MGS experience.
