Rocky That sucks. I kinda felt like Nunes was gonna be on 219, I guess they're gonna wait on Rocky to heal up? Either that or they're giving this fight to someone else and quite frankly, there isn't anyone in the division currently that could make a legitimate claim to a title shot aside Pennington.
I had heard that Lin pulled out due to injury, as did Weili Zhang. Most disappointing.Unfortunately the fight between Alesha Zappitella and Heqin Lin has been cancelled. Not sure the reasoning but Lin pulled out. Alesha is trying to get rebooked ASAP. I wish Invicta would give her a shot because I think she could be a top Atomweight very soon. I think she has to prove herself after failing her drug test in her last fight.
Yeah, the UFC must be grasping for straws about now. You've got nearly all of your top 10 out injured, dropping to 125, on maternity leave or essentially retired. Maybe Holm will opt to fight Nunes rather than Cyborg. The only other options appear to be Evinger or Viera. The way things look, Shevchenko may get a chance at a rematch earlier than she figured.Rocky That sucks. I kinda felt like Nunes was gonna be on 219, I guess they're gonna wait on Rocky to heal up? About damn time Granados vs. Batara happens. Only been a year since Paulina's last fight. :\
Didn't see it in the last thread, ONE "Atomweight" champion Angela Lee got engaged to fellow ONE competitor, Bruno Pucci.
Hopefully not! I want to see Cyborg-Holm before it's completely too late for that fight.Yeah, the UFC must be grasping for straws about now. Unfortunately right now I don't really have a good challenger in mind for Amanda either. But considering her last defense isn't that far back, I don't think it's so urgent tbh.
(Not really interested in Nunes vs Shevchenko III btw. I never was much of a Valentina fan to begin with and after all her post fight complaining even less so now. And it's not like fight I & II were super exciting...)
Yaya is a great prospect, but she won't be ready for Yana, or a title yet. Kelly Faszholz and Julia Avila are probably both 2 wins from a title fight, where as I would say that Yaya needs 4ish. Raquel & Pannie Kianzad both need a reset. If Invicta is looking for a challenger to Yana Kunitskaya
at 135 lbs why not Yaya Rincon since she is undefeated
in her 2 fights she has had thus far.
I think that the UFC will use Nunes as leverage against Cyborg, to make her agree to Holm. Personally I'd rather see Holm fight Nunes because I hate Cyborg. At this point I just want Cyborg and that joke of a division to be boycotted by lower weightclass fighters until they either bring in actual 145ers or shut it down
I'd lol if GDR won and then held out for a super fight vs cyborgYaya is a great prospect, but she won't be ready for Yana, or a title yet. I'd personally give the fight to Sarah Kaufman, as she is the best 135er outside of the UFC on paper. If not Kaufman, Katharina Lehner is the next best choice.

If Holm/Cyborg goes through, the UFC might give GDR a shot, it's unlikely she'll win, so why not?

What about Vieira X Cat or L. Smith for next contender? Could work. GDR should fight Reneau.
To fight Vieira? Lol she is ahead of Vieira at UFC rankings (shouldn't be, but is)Cat definitely needs a win first.
