Official Women's Division Discussion #25

I was wondering about that and the only explanation i found is that there are more "low lv" opponents at 125 than 135, yes 135 is very shallow and doesn't have as many fighters, but once you get at the top 8 (not counting Sara) for example you have a bunch of tough fights for her, everyone has a ground game, maybe not GDR but she is enormous and who knows if she will fight again.
Sara would be tough for her unless her ground game is better than I think too, she has lost a lot but she's usually winning until she messes up and I'm not sure Antonina could capitalize like Tate, Viiera and Reneau did.

Well i'm not counting Sara because she is pregnant and who knows if she will fight again, she will be a 38-39 years old mom soon.

Felice Herrig will be cornering Alyse Anderson (3-1) when she fights as an atomweight at Invicta FC on July 21.

A few weeks back heavyweight Loren Sims records a 3 second KO at FCFF

Weekend results updated.

Of note (besides what I posted yesterday)
  • After losing to Seo Hee Ham by decision, atomweight Alyona Rassokhyna picks up her 11th win over the weekend by first round armbar
  • Magdalena Sormova improves to 6-1 with a huge win over the now 10-4 Svetlana Gotsyk at strawweight
  • Huge upset this past weekend as Judyta Rymarzak (now 2-2) defeated Izabela Badurek (now 7-5) by UD at Thunderstrike Fight League in Poland. Also on the card, amateur strawweight prospect Magdalena Czaban won her 2nd fight via headkick KO.
  • Premier Fight League saw Hannah Goldy go 3-0 at pro flyweight and Marisa Messer-Belenchia win her pro debut at atomweight

Two time Invicta veteran Tracy Cortez won via first round RNC at V3 Fights 69, which was watched by Dana White filming for Lookin' For a Fight.

Antonina has lost her opponent for the DWTNCS they are looking for a replacement

The weird thing is, she’s obviously there to fight, and the UFC mentions her in an article on their main page, but they’ve never added the fight to the bout order.

There was a Korean journo asking Fabian if the fight was on, it was as far as her and her management were concerned but haven't seen any evidence of them being in Singapore yet. UFC Cock-up incoming?

Interesting...

Here’s something else interesting, which leads me to believe (further still) that the UFC is run by idiots. Looking at the event page for the Singapore event on the UFC site: http://www.ufc.com/event/fight-night-asia-june-2018#/fight if you highlight the Pereira vs Yan fight, they have no stats listed for Xiaonan Yan. It didn’t make sense. So then I check the strawweight roster page: http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Weight_Class/Women_Strawweight and they have two fighters listed for Yan Xiaonan. The correct one has the wrong nickname, as well. Then I looked back at the event page, and they listed every Chinese fighter’s given name, instead of their surname.

Seriously, UFC, get your shit together.

Indeed, tapology has the bout as fizzled, guess no-one told the fighters.

Usually the Holiday Inn Aladdin downtown but there is several hotels nearby if you want to deal shop. Lobby is the best place to fighter watch especially post fight.
Might have to deal shop. The Aladdin is not the cheapest.
