OK real conservatives, here is your chance. Denounce Trump for his deficit spending

The last sentence makes my point perfectly. It's a utterly empty "denunciation" if you don't distinguish between Obama, who essentially fixed our long-term debt issues, and Trump, who again created an unsustainable path.

How can you possibly credit the largest contributor to the national debt of any recent President, Obama, with solving the nation's long-term debt issues? Obama certainly was not shy about raising taxes, but he also nearly doubled the national debt from $10.6 Trillion to $19.5 Trillion while in office. Really, few recent Presidents from either side of the aisle have been particularly successful in keeping America's debt under control.

It doesn't surprise me that you subjectively feel vindicated even after being objectively proved wrong. I can only speak the truth; I can't make you acknowledge it. It's humorous that you think that your character weakness is a point of pride.

You not understanding(or not wanting to admit) the effect the news had on many people by showing superdelegate votes the whole time is humorous..

Title says it all.

I want a list of posters that I will accept talking about deficit spending, when Bernie takes office in 2020.

If you aren't willing to denounce Trump over deficit spending, then you need to shut the fuck up when Democrats take office.

For the deficit spending Trump is creating we could have Medicare for all, and debt free college education.

You got slightly better economic growth then Obama did instead. Tired of winning I'm sure.
It's hard to make fun of Trumpets as the dumb ones when Berniebots are posting sentences like this one in 2018.

I didn't. Your claim is simply false. It is a fact that the ACA and partial repeal of the Bush cuts solved the naton's long-term debt issues.

Obama, Clinton, and Bush 41 all took significant steps to keep long-term debt under control. Obama's efforts were reversed by Trump, and Bush/Clinton's efforts were reversed by Bush 43.

And obviously short-term deficits were high following the GFC, as they should have been. The long-term is what matters here, and the short-term rise had little to do with who was in the WH at the time.

After the Civil War, the economic consequences that was going to result from the freeing of the slaves was irrelevant in the face of the moral decision of ending the institution of slavery.

It's a more moral decision to allow individuals to keep more of the money that they earned.

Particularly liked this bit of your post

You didn't think it was reflective of complete ignorance about how capitalism and taxation works?

I believe taxation is hard to sell on principle.

A flat tax would be the only equitable solution. Of course the left would never go for that

It's sold on no principle at all. Ultimately the rhetorical question everyone always arrives at is, "Yeah but what about the roads, and security?" ..No different than saying, "Yeah but who will pick the cotton without any slaves?" Hence, Farmer Brown's comment that the morality of the way we've decided to fund these things should be examined much closer than any conjecture about how it would be supplied and organized voluntarily.

Good post and it reaffirmed why I liked @Farmer Br0wn comment so much.

Why was it ignorant? Is there no compulsion to pay taxes?

Sure, but people already agree to work for after-tax dollars, and taxation is part of the overall transaction. Surely those reminders are sufficient to make my point, right?

It's going to happen.

Bernie is Tiger Woods at this point, he is a equal bet against the entire field.

Even against his party? Lol

I voted for him in the virginia primary, and probably would have voted for him over Trump, even though he is ok with rampant illegal immigration and is a bit of a cuck.

But no way his party allows it. I doubt his health will even allow it.

I will take deficient spending over socialism any day. Rand Paul 2024 though, cuz daddy got this shit locked the FUCK up. #spaceforcenigga
