OVERWATCH, v5: The Wicked Witch is Dead

She heals herself by doing damage, but playing on the front line is dangerous. Ideally you want to play her in the midrange, and counter the attacking tanks/dps.

It's weird right now because so many people are playing Rein + Brigitte, so you're not playing against a lot of dive heroes. I think once the honeymoon period ends, and more people go back to dive comps, she'll play more effective.

i really have no choice though if I want healing. I basically have to jump into the fray.

Like, my tanks were a Rein and Winston. They were engaging the opponents tanks. I had no choice but to jump in and start swinging so I could heal them. I use my "E" from mid-range and I really like that form of healing. But her melee/heal is kinda hard to stay alive.

I switched work shifts so I now work afternoons which means I game in the morning, it's literally fucking awful. The skill gap just based on what time people play is insane and also really hurting my hopes of getting to Masters.

I get queued with the same 20 people or so all week and never the ones I want to get queued with...

I've recently noticed a difference in player base based on time of day. For me, 9:00pm and later is the best. That group seems more mature and more willing to gratuitously use voice lines before and during the match. That is very important to me.

Dont play in the early afternoon, when all the kids get home from school. I had some kid in comp screaming he wants everyone to die and was just babbling imcomprehensibly for 10 minuetes. How he even got to silver astounded me with his "skills".l, must be his brothers account.

If you're on PC and ping isn't too much of an issue maybe try another region. I'm in AU, but I usually play on KR if I'm getting shitty queues.

An "avoid player" option is being tested in PTR right now, which is long overdue as well.

“When you select someone to be avoided, they will be avoided for seven days in terms of putting them on your team,” Kaplan explained. “Sometimes you will still see that person on the other team, but they shouldn’t be set to be your teammate.

“At the end of seven days, they will drop off the Avoid as Teammate list. You can add them to the list again, but you will only have two slots. You will have to be a little mindful of how you manage the list.”

Kaplan said the feature will come in handy for those who feel frustrated by other players during a match. The example he used was a teammate harping in chat for someone to use another hero. This could cause an annoyance, but it’s not offensive enough for a report.

We finally get avoid player. Hopefully the consoles too.

Does the blizzard team even play solo? Because if they did, they would know we need a whole lot more than two slots.

Its always been like this with games that have a competitive MM feature. Ideally you should narrow it down further to Sunday-Thursday.

I played a game with someone named Ihatehanzo and xxhanzomainxx, or something like that.
Both on my yeam. We won. Lol.

I hate losing games in comp cuz of one tricks. Don’t play fucking widow if the other team is running triple tank with a genji or some shit. Also had a one trick bastion in another game and got rolled. People used to always complain about Mercy one tricks but that shit was a godsend compared to some of these dps one tricks. At least Mercy brought some value to the team.

those widow one tricks get exposed pretty quickly though. A Winston dive will make them change.

the thing about bastion is that the whole team has to build around the bastion. Ive been seeing a lot of pirate ships on escort the payload maps.

Junk one tricks are the bane of my existence. Rein is my main I just wrecked going against Junks in confined space.

I don’t mind playing against one tricks, it’s having one tricks on my team that pisses me off

I had one of the most enjoyable games yesterday.

It was a couple of nice dudes on the mic and 13ish year old Italian kid.

He sounded just like a little Mario.

"You shita on me, I shita on you" to the enemy team.

"Ima gonna get the tracer, and kill her real gooda"

But the best part was when it was our time to attack he asked what he should play, and we said what ever your heart is telling you.

And in the most Italian accent ever...

"I picka the torbjorn"

So much lulz, we won, it was great

Lost 300 SR today. Solid streak of throwers, leavers and players who apparently have never played the game before? Fucking Zenyatta who ran out in front by himself literally every time he spawned and immediately died, never popped his ult once.....I just don't understand why I can only get a team of semi competent people like 10% of games.

After two years of being out, The amount of boneheaded plays are crazy.

People still don't group up and then try to take on the entire team.

Almost zero awareness. I can dive in with dva rockets blazing straight at their face and they won't see me because they're too focused on poking roadhog.

But one of my worst pet peeves is when we are defending, and at the start of the game, one of the heros (usually junkrat or genji) will go to the enemy spawn.

Us:" What are you doing junkrat, we need to group up?"
Turd: I'm gonna build my charge real quick
Us: Please don't, you're gonna die too early and we'll lose the point.
Turd: trust me

The enemy door opens and literally within 3 seconds I see Junkrat murdered on the kill feed

lol, I had a Moira on Horizon the other day who went to toss a ball at the enemy spawn. Boom, Widow shot to the face. Down a healer while Winston dove right at us, luckily Bastion cleaned up.
I've barely touched Comp after placements this season, been busy with Vermintide, but some things never change. Going support and then having no one able to hit the Pharah is still probably my biggest cringe.
