“There are people who have so much, but who walk by hungry children who have no medicine... This is an idolatry that kills, that makes HUMAN SACRIFICES TO THE GOD OF MONEY.”

Powerful words from the Pontiff.

Pope Francis went on to offer prayers for the 800,000 Rohingya Refugees, 200,000 of whom are children and many of whom are malnourished.

Anyone who is looking to donate to Rohingya Refugees, almost all of whom are living in Bangladesh, itself an impoverished nation:

so i assume the catholic church is giving every dime they have to saving these people right?

Sorry Franky but it is NOT the wealth and/or greed at the top that is hurting poor people. It is dumb, socialistic fiscal policies. You need to brush up on your Deirdre McCloskey

Catholic charities are among to largest charitable agencies in the nation and the world.

Sounds like hes casting stones.

but i know he isnt free from sin.

probably should just do good deeds while keeping his sjw mouth shut.

They should totally ask some of the people they launder billions for to make a few donations.

Lots of gold at the vatican. Can't help but think of all the poor starving children that could help feed.

Practice what you preach, poop.

A lot of people in this thread are overlooking a couple of facts:

1. Without the institutional church, the teachings of Christ would not have survived

2. Much of the Vatican’s wealth is in the form of world heritage holdings. You can’t exactly just sell the roof of the Sistine Chapel

The Vatican is the oldest continuous institution in the history of the world. That sort of matters.

I'll say it again. Catholics like the rapist popes best.

This one has real compassion. They hate him for it

The pope then returned to his humble abode...

The world's economy is in the hands of very few people

What socialism is at play here?
