This is my MAIN problem with Trump. His ability to degrade the office of the presidency by speaking as president in ways that are beneath the average citizen.

it probably refers to his campaign promise to open up libel laws so he could sue newspapers. And his recent comments about revoking NBC's license.

Since the first amendment only protects people's speech from government sanctions and a president is above the government sanctions deterred by the first amendment, Trump is probably the only person in America to whom the first amendment does not apply.

He was not using his free speech.

He is the POTUS. He isn't the reality star guy anymore. It is dumb to expect your leader to tell the truth?
Again, he is the POTUS. He can't go around just saying stupid shit anymore. His words matter now.
The scary thing with Trump is that he doesn't seem to actually ever know what the hell he's talking about. He wants to do all of the things he's talking about, but doesn't realize he doesn't actually have the power to do most of them, or that doing them is a lot harder than he thinks.

I was supposing the suggestion the President does not have the freedom of speech, and he's certainly using freedom of speech, a right he does not have... leads to the conclusion the President must be impeached.
