I was supposing the suggestion the President does not have the freedom of speech, and he's certainly using freedom of speech, a right he does not have... leads to the conclusion the President must be impeached.

I wasn't leading to anything, I was being snarky. The first amendment prevents Americans from being punished by the government for their speech -- sanctions like imprisonment. The president was never subject to those punishments and so the first amendment doesn't apply to him.

I expect the president to tell the truth...I don't care what party he's from. The office of the presidency shouldn't even understand the term "trolling", let alone participate in it.
And this really isn't about partisanship for me. I wouldn't consider myself a democrat, though I lean more to the left. But I also don't really see Trump as a Republican either.

What Trump does is unlike what any other politician or president does. He literally just makes shit up. He doesn't seem to know what he's talking about, and I don't even believe he's "trolling". I would get it if it was just the circus we see it in the public, but there's a reason his cabinet keeps changing around and he has his own secretary of state calling him a fucking moron. If this were all a big act, then Trump deserves an Oscar.

The president is above consequences outlawed in the first amendment and so he never needed it applied to him, but there would be obvious repercussions if he came out and said that his plan was to get into a nuke war with NK so he could send the blacks out to die. Naturally you hold the same opinion of Trump and Sheriff Arpaio conducting investigations into Obama's Birth Certificate. Recal that Trump said he had his people investigating Obama's birth certificate.

Trump became president because of Birtherism, and by that I mean he rose to prominence in conservative grass roots circles when he latched onto Birtherism as its most high profile supporter. His presense in the political arena came via Birtherism. Once birtherism allowed him to establish himself with the rightwingers as a fellow traveller , he then started pushing populist narratives, but it was birtherism that got him into the game.

I dont see how anyone can not notice the immense degradation of the presidency that Trump has brought with his lying and trolling.

Someone might say that there have been other politicians just as dishonest as him-- that might be right but Trump advertises his lack of class and his vulgarity in a way that brings the whole nation down.

I also believe that he is mentally ill and unstable and dangerous. I have never thought that about any president in my lifetime. I dislike both Bush's as deeply as it is possible to do, but I never thought about either one of those in these terms. With the Bush's I just accepted them as the vote of the people, not so with Trump. Trump is dangerous and does not belong in the white house.

Thinking that Trump is mentally ill and unstable is not partisan- it is just calling it like I see it.
