I was really into the hardcore scene when it was happening. It's funny how vital and important that music seemed back then.

It still does to me. I no longer think were going to change the world with the right song but theres still nothing Id rather listen to and few places id rather be. I should retire going to shows and standing around on blown knees is really starting to become an issue but its in my blood and I dont know how. When I know theres a show and Im not there for whatever reason I get ants in my pants drive my wife nuts and end up getting sent anyway . I still get goosebumps down my arms like a live wire is running through me when I hear my fave songs

I was into Bad Brains, Black Flag.
To me punk was best when it had a social message, but I also enjoyed three chord songs you could bang out in a trio inside of a minute.

I would agree. I tend to like the social punk a lot more than the chaos for chaos sake theory . I also admit though its a sin that the most special place in my heart is reserved for the bands I grew up on in the 90s much more than the legends of the late 70s and early 80s and that punk ska is probably my fave thing on this earth

I swear man just looking at that ugly album cover fills me with a joy. I never left the house without that album in me youth
