The storyline was originally set up to be Mr. Kennedy to be Vince's son until he failed a drug test as well. So with no better option, WWE went with Hornwoggle who eventually became Finlay son like 2-3 months later

Both of those were on him.


First he tells WWE he needs 4-5 months to recover from injury so he loses his MITB only to find out he only needed 6 weeks. Then they create the McMahon Son storyline to put him over and he gets busted on the infamous 2007 steroid list just a couple of weeks after slamming wrestlers who took Steroids after Benoit died. Then right after that he injures Cena on a match on RAW and Cena was out for the rest of 2007. Add that on with the Orton incident and he fucked himself at every corner.

Apparently the story goes Kennedy goes to a doctor who tells him he was going to miss the rest of the year and gets stripped of the MITB. Then he goes back to get a second option and it turned out the injury wasn't as serious as the first doctor said and he only needed to sit out a month. By that time Edge was already World Champion on Smackdown. Kennedy waiting to get a second opinion cost him a world title run.

Well two things, the steroid scandal of 2007 was just months after the Benoit Murders so the company was already under alot of heat. And Kennedy went to the media during this time not on slamming people who used steroids but claimed to never use any himself. Then they find out that that he brought drugs for months from the Orlando pharmacy. So not only did he make them look bad but he also fucked up their plans to push him to the main event twice in the same year, not to mention injuring the top guy a month later.

With that said, Orton also got caught on that list but avoided suspension because "he told WWE before the report came out" which probably means "All of our top stars are suspended or injured so we can't afford to lose Orton as well"

Another thing that hurt Kennedy is that he pretty much made enemies with all the top guys on the roster. Batista, Orton, and Cena all called him unsafe, and then he trashes Triple H the second he left the company.

STAMFORD, Conn., September 28, 2015 – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s policy.

Postl, 29, has been with WWE full-time since 2006 and starred last year in WWE Studios’ “Leprechaun: Origins” film.

This is the first publicly announced wellness violation since the July 2013 suspension of former WWE performer Ricardo Rodriguez.
