Queensbury Rules - Take a Knee?

I have a question about the technicality of an opponent on Rule 10. If a fighter detects an incoming punch and dashes to a knee, and eats the shot while on a knee, is that fighter entitled to the steaks?

Its a judgement call by the ref. If he thinks the punch was thrown before the guy was down, he'll likely say its clean. If the guy is already down, like when Barrera hit Marquez when he was down, then its illegal and he can be disqualified.

Oh, ps...if the dude can see the punch coming and has the speed to drop to his knee prior to it landing, couldn’t he just avoid the punch altogether?

The only time I can remember a possible instance of this actually happening was Montel Griffin vs RJJr
