Question about kosen judo

Ask about the differences between BJJ and Kosen Judo. Ask him what he thinks of the BJJ’s system of positional hierarchy.

Ok, my apologies for the delay in replying, been busy at work.

This what I got so far from his replies:

"Kodokan judo is based on the old tachiwaza jujitsu school style South of Nagoya was kosen newaza based at the budodokuden kyoto Was mainly unlimited time newaza in shiai The ko in kosen means high school as that was the limit most students could attend Sen means specialist YouTube ? Hirata Sensei from Nagoya uni and Kimura sensei in the old budo video"

"I would think there are more kosen style dojos overseas then in Japan There is a kosen style dojo in Tokyo which I think Stu has been to Takenouchi ryu which many Kodokan waza are based on still exists Okaiyama prefecture I’m trying to get there this trip"

I know it is a bit limited but he is in Japan at the moment and I will try to get a formal interview (with lot of beers) as soonest he come back home.

What surprise me the most was the different lineage! and the fact that it is dying in Japan compare to outside Japan.
