Raider Nation v27: Sorry Jack, Chucky's Back

I think Conley can be strong but that was a weird first year, an injury that nobody really explained properly and a lost year. I'm not sure I like getting rid of Smith except for the cap hit, he seems to be a damn good CB if used properly.

I hate to have to use the reference, but a pass rush and shutdown secondary put a trophy in Denver and that was with an offense that can't hold a candle to what Oakland is capable with putting up with the talent on board.

Nah man I love Smith.

May as well get rid of smith now and find his replacement. He is most likely going to be suspended and if found guilty could see jail time.

Given the less than desirable selection from this year's free agent class so far, I'm leaning towards keeping Crabtree even though dude is a drop machine. I had to look it up and yes has ranked in the top 10 for drops for the last 3 seasons.

What constitutes a drop in this stats?

That's why they go to court bruh

Guilty or not you can bet your left nut that Goodell is still suspending him. For the record, I would like to see smith stick around, he looked like a completely different player under Pagano

How dare you

How dare I? It was a serious question.

"...incomplete passes where the receiver SHOULD have caught the pass with ORDINARY effort."
"Only use this if the receiver is 100 percent at fault and no one else can be blamed for the incompletion."
"Pass interference that wasn't called/passes thrown just outside the receiver's reach, etc., are NOT drops."

I imagine they'll retain Smith at a reduced price. Pay cut is not unreasonable to ask from him

Sounds like Smith and his sister went out with her BF, they got drunk and soon to be ex-bf got his ass kicked. None of them say they remember the confrontation. Sounds like a typical night in da hood. Well at least he didn't assault a woman.

That's still pretty arbitrary. Kinda like the US Supreme Court's view on pornography, "I know it when I see it".

I'll take cooper over all them, he will bounce back this year.
Sounds like Crabs may be in the plans after all.
Seth needs to gtfo.
I honestly hope Cooper gets traded.

He is as talented and gifted as you can ask for but the guy cant keep it together on the field. Hes a total head case and wildly unreliable.

I dont think Crab or Beast Mode are going anywhere. Carr is really tight with both of them and the chemistry hes got with Crabby is hard to replicate. May have butted heads in a disappointing season but thats to be expected. The media blew that up to be far worse than it actually is.

On Sean Smith, I think his performance this year completely flew under the radar due to the rest of the team.

He was really, really good. Who would have thought playing a giant CB to his strengths would pay dividends.....

Barkley will not fall. No LB is worthy of the pick.
Roquan Smith is absolutely worthy of the pick.

He is lights out in coverage and a tackling machine. And he can fucking fly.

Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield, and Chubb will all go before Oakland. Then youve got Ward, Fitzpatrick, Nelson etc. Its not unheard of that those teams dont take a RB.

I'd take Roquan in a heartbeat. Too small for ILB so move him over to WLB and resign Navarro and bam...LB position solved.

Hes close enough imo. Prob put on 10lbs in an NFL program and hes right there with CJ Mosley, Bowman, Keuchly etc.

All true. No excuses for coop this year. Carr will be healthy and we have good coaches

Smith was one of the few positives once the team dropped off, I wouldn't be mad at him staying around. I'm shocked Amerson is still in the NFL, not talent wise but dude is concussed every other week.

I hope Crab stays , he had some drops but his route running with Carr throwing the ball is near perfection at times. I'm one of the few but I think Coop has a huge year, too much talent.

Crabby in the end zone is on another level from most targets in the league. He is completey lights out there. Its pretty ridiculous.

The fact that everyone knows thats where Carr is looking makes it even more impressive.

A good one.

Dont think anyones expecting him to hit the market but have to be prepared if he does.

One of the 3 of Landry, Robinson, or Sanders would be killer.

I actually withdraw my prediction. After assessing the salary cap situation of some of these teams, I think that chances of these players hitting the open market are better than I initially thought.
