If he KOs Khabib where do you rank him in terms of All-Time Great Strikers in MMA?

IMO theres a solid argument to be had for putting him as no. 1.

Yeah Conor got boxed up by Nate once he gassed, but that's just as legitimate as saying Anderson got boxed up by Chael in the first fight due to the Takedown threat.

No there isn't.

3. Cro Cop
4. Dillashaw
5. Gustafsson
6. Garbrandt
7. Wonderboy
8. Igor V
9. Stipe
10. Shogun
Garbrandt above Conor....?

<{cruzshake}>

Very fast hands, good power, natural athleticism. That's it.

Wait what? GSP had a good jab but no power and was always looking for the opening to clinch. Your list doesn't make sense to me and it's missing likely the best in Anderson. Jones belongs on the list as well as his knee kicks were deadly to opponents in addition to his elbows.

Anyway, striking is more than just boxing and so your list is a bit lopsided.

Name 20 strikers better than Conor.

What a horrible list.

Conor has to be a top 5 striker in MMA ever. Id argue that Silva and Conor are easily some of the best strikers in MMA ever, with Silva being the most complete.

When he KO's Khabib it wont help his case at all, everyone will just say how sloppy Khabib was and how he rushed foolishly just like Aldo, he never fought a good striker etc etc..
The Nate fights leave a bad impression to me, the first loss was acceptable because of the short notice but he still struggled the second time vs a guy everyone knows how to beat, how can you say a guy is the greatest striker ever if he cant strike for 10 minutes without gassing out? We'll have to see him vs Tony to really judge.

But its not that far out of the question that he ends up as the greatest striker, i mean the sport keeps evolving and guys like Whittaker, Tj and Max could all end up as the greatest strikers ever, Anderson was great but his resume is not gonna hold up.

Conor has slow hands, overrated power and F level athleticism

He couldn't even jump onto a 2 foot tall log lmao
Do you have a video of Cody jumping onto the same log? If not your point is worthless.

Conor has fast hands. He has a bad tendency to load up on his left, especially as fights progress. But the punch he caught Aldo with was lightning fast. Conor also has a higher finish rate in his UFC wins (7/9 vs 4/6 for Garbrandt) suggesting he is either more powerful or outright a more effective striker.

Anderoid got demolished by Chael and Weidman on the feet lol

He's not even top 20, especially without the juice

How many years had he been fighting by then? And chael juiced more obviously. Anyone that doesn't think Anderson was an elite striker doesn't understand striking or the sport. Anderson, like many other fighters not named Jon Jones, had holes in his game. but that doesn't negate his elite striking.

1. Conor
2. Aldo
3. Anderson?

The rest would be highly subjective.

Silva was a little lacking on offense. He was a wicked counterstriker though. I thing Dillashaw is more complete at this time. Switches from defence to attack very well, fast hands, good kicks.

Cody was a linebacker in high school and a champion wrestler as a fucking freshman lol

Gtfo Cody is one of the best athletes in the world
So no, you don't have a vid of him jumping on the same log which gave Conor trouble. Thanks.

Dillashaw doesnt have the knees, clinch and GnP of Silva. Silva is a master and complete in all facets of striking, sure he is a counter striker, but he has offensively displayed a variety of tools at a higher level than Dillashaws. Dillashaw has some of the best footwork in MMA history though.

How about people define elite MMA striking first. I'd say it would have to include a diverse repertoire of hands and feet, be hard to predict at times and include good striking defense (sorry Reem), and have decent power behind it (sorry manlets). A great striker may suck at grappling though and thus may not be an all time great overall. but that's how the sport works.

Conor is simply a top boxer and dumbos like Aldo played into his skills. I'd love to see conor face an elite MMA counter striker with the skills of Machida or Anderson.
