A while ago Kunlun changed their B-level events to a new format and those are now called Kunlun Combat League. There's been something like 45-50 of these since late October. 5-7 events a week, ~6 fights per event, Monday-Tuesday usually off days. All at the new purpose-built Kunlun venue in Tongling where a couple of the last numbered events have also been held.
Gyms/teams from 16 different Chinese cities.
Fights at 52.5kg (women)/61.5kg/66kg/70kg/75kg/80kg

yeah, but it is aimed to do well Imo, not only for the promotion but also for the sport who needs more internal competition to develop world level guysThey're currently in a qualifying stage of sorts, 3 best teams from both groups of 8 teams get through to the next season, or I guess what's the actual start for the league. The bottom 10 teams have to qualify by beating 10 new teams trying in for the league.
Mostly new young Chinese pro fighters, but also a bunch of Thai's and Russians/Belarussians/Iranians etc.
The venue probably fits 1000-1200 people or something around that and attendance has seemed to be pretty good so far too. The fights are, or at least were, also broadcast on late night tv. Hopefully is sustainable for them.
