so im giving up 30lbs BW and 40lbs on the lifts.....this might not be the best idea ive ever had :icon_chee

want to do 900 combined or 500 DL/400 Sq?
 
Yes but I'm working to hopefully get down to 200 and you're free to add as much weight as you want.

900 combined is probably best, just in case one of us gets a better squat and the other a better deadlift, then there is still a clear winner.

sounds good to me, good luck to ya, and stay strong with the weight loss, its sucks but it will be worth it, went from 245 to 195 a few years back, made me feel light years better

.75 mile continuous run at 7:27
Full mile was @ 9:49 a PR by almost a full minute.

answered my own questions, been putting in some impressive work in the last month, definatly not slacking at all

so you are at 470 DL and 375 SQ.......yikes, im at 465 DL and 350 SQ, i did have it down to 20 pounds until you squatted last night, back up to 30. Just started Smolov for squat, hoping to get 20-25 pounds out of it and hopefully my DL will creep up a little......we will see in a month.

good lifting though. keep up the good work

And now 1145 Big 3 total. Calvus was making bench look easy, and there was someone available to spot me, so I decided to max out. 285 flew up. I struggled a little bit with 295 and the spotter touched the bar. I yelled "I've got it!" and finished the rep. The guy said "Sorry, I thought you stalled." I told him not to worry about it, and I'd try it again. Then I decided to add 5 more and go for broke. It was a fight, but I got the legendary 300. Bye, to teh 275.

It was kind of funny because the couple of guys in the weight room were really impressed. One of them even asked me if I was a powerlifter. I will feel much more satisfied when I pull 500 than bench 300.
 
wow, nice job on the bench man, thats awesome

and you will get the elusive 500 pull.....about 3 days after me :D

So today I said to hell with the possible hernia because I missed deadlifts. Busted out a 10 rep PR for +15#. I also tried plate pinches for the first time today. Not sure what a decent hold time is, and I'm unsure as to why I held my left hand longer.

I also continued some LSD work. Im using the coach to 5k program, and it was the week three routine, even though I've been running the program for more than three weeks because I'm not the most dedicated to conditioning work, so I've had to reset a few times. This is the third time I've tried the program and this is the first rime I made it to week three, so let's hope this is a sign of progress. It took me 25:00 to run/ walk 2 miles.
