Didnt see that post, but fwiw you can superimpose images on actual film-film, it's a technique almost as old as the moving pictures themselves.

I'm 43 and have never once heard of this ridiculous "legend". I'd be willing to bet no one else did either until the internet became a thing.

this is an urban legend that has been around since the 80’s. I remember hearing about it around 89-90.
