Well, even sub-5 murders per 100,000 is still too high. My home state clocked in at around 1.3 for 2017 to get back to its pre-energy boom levels, which is a lot closer to the homicide rates found Northwestern Europe. There hasn't been a "mass shooting" (3 victims?) there in a quarter century.

In contrast the liberal media and democrats overwhelmingly push that stuff and support it and brag about it on day time TV and late night TV with people like trevor noah or the gay agenda pushed by gays anderson cooper and don lemon. And they (democrats) only get conservatice latinos and muslims voting democrat for immigration purposes and more welfare. Russia isnt pushing for mentally ill men in womens batroom or sex changes for kids (that crazy stuff is illegal in russia because its anti christian and anti family). Russia nor israel or right wing european states or parties are doing any of this. Russia isnt pushing the open borders or silence any conservative speech. Dont forget how hostile hollywood and liberal media is to pro life or gun rights or christianity or traditionalist views.

Right wing UKIP or Brazilian or Austrian freedom party or italian or polish or hugarian or Isrseli support for republicans and Trump is far less of a threat and more on a basis of shared common interests than that of the democrats.

Well, there are many opinions on this subject.
But the left side is too kind and sensitive in today's world. Populations are skyrocketing, resources more scarce, violence on the rise.

It's time to get tough about things, and put aside the sentimentality and "ideals". Ideals work only in an ideal world, and we're not there even by most generous estimation.

Meh, the platforms of the left actually address the issues instead of ignoring them: climate change for example, they are just rarely implemented in any meaningful way, usually just in a severely compromised form if at all (Affordable Care Act).

Meanwhile, we've been trying out the right's solution on shit for nearly forty years. "Getting Tough" rarely works and is, more often than not, just a waste of money for everyone who doesn't have a vested interest (read investment) in the solution -> "War on Crime / War on Drugs" and privatized prisons for example.
