This is the saddest thing ive read all week.
I was going to get one but there's so much shit in my kitchen with the convection oven and a blender and a toaster and a crock pot and what not, that adding another appliance I use every now and then seemed like a bad idea.
No. Rice is pretty easy to cook without a special rice appliance...
Ours works very well.
Up above, someone mentioned Instant Pot. I hear they work very well. It will replace the slow cooker and work for rice also.
After I bought a rice cooker I never looked back. Perfect rice every time.
Get a mini rice cooker. Now you have no excuse. @Kalmah
Its called a pot bro, and I am not even chinese
My Mom gave me one for Christmas several years ago. It's a basic Zozirushi but does a great job. @Higus
I just bought a new rice cooker/steamer/instant cooker from costco for $30 and its amazing.
I never knew how fantastic oatmeal could really be until I got my smart rice cooker.
Here's whatcha do: ya put the water and oatmeal (plus a dash of salt) in before you go to bed. Set the timer to start 35 minutes before you wake up.
Boom. You'll never find a finer hot breakfast than this shit.
Tiger brand is excellent too. @boingyman
Nope. My Puerto Rican Grandmother showed me all you need is a cast aluminum pot.
Yep, Tiger is good too. They sell all these different rice cookers at all the Japanese Supermarkets I go to. Mitsuwa, Marukai, Oto's, etc. When they have good sales or even clearance you can get them half the price sometimes.
No, I never had one. Would you recommend it Cint?, I don't eat rice enough though, well depends what I am having for dinner. Would be ideal if I make a curry which I like to make sometimes.
Yes Sir. I have had my rice cooker for about 8 years now. I love cooking Jasmine rice and mixing it with chicken and broccoli and some Bragg's liquid aminos.
Zozirushi and Tiger is the best brands of rice cookers. Can't go wrong with either to make perfect rice. @boingyman
I told you once
I told you twice
I'm not Chinese
I don't eat rice
