Sad. i had no idea.
He was one of the best to don the Blue. RIP Sho.
God, I can't believe I didn't see this until now... that's awful. While I hadn't spoken to him in quite some time, Sho is the only reason I'm still even able to use this account... I got banned for doing some stupid shit in 2013-2014, and Sho appealed it. I was kinda surprised by this, even if it's something as simple as a Sherdog account.
Going to hopefully keep this account alive for a while, in his memory... gosh. Rest in peace, man, and my sincere condolences to any of his friends or family who may read this.
Didn't know him, only interacted with him through various forums here. Seemed like a good guy, and I for sure know he lived and breathed MMA. Condolences to his friends and family. Hopefully those of you who are hurting can find some sort of peace here in the community, that he helped build.
I'm bummed he didn't get to see that card Saturday. He would've loved it. Then again, maybe he did...
Damn, only 40 years old. Makes me wish I woulda messaged him and plucked his brain about his passion. But I'm always hesitant to contact the OG's around here.
This thread is evidence that he made a big difference to a lot of ppl. Very few good men get this kind of tribute from strangers when their time is up. Can't imagine what his "real life" contacts are going through. This is a testament to the impact he had on us all though.
I'll miss his threads for the play-by-play for all the individual fights. I don't know if he was a hockey fan, but his avatar always reminded me of the Detroit Red Wings. Wish I woulda asked him.
Sad to see it.
Damn. Damn. Just seeing this. He was a good dude, an excellent moderator, and a very good poster. RIP.
RIP,it sucks when people die so early
I don’t know who shonuf is, but rest easy man.
Lots of respect and I hope his family and friends are alright in this tough time
Very sorry for your loss
Been away from the forums for most of this year, just now hearing about this.
Just now seeing this, been away from the forums for at least a year came back for the GSP fight. He passed on my 40th birthday, such sad news. I didn't interact with Shonuf much over the years, but from reading his stuff in the PBP threads and personal interactions with other folks he seemed like a good dude. My thoughts and prayers to all those close to the man here, as well as his family and friends in reality. Keep on doing them pbp's for the folk's upstairs Shonuf, you were the best at it.
Man, it's feels so strange that he's gone...
