I'm thinking 700 for 2 hours is an ok guess. Two main lifts per session

This puts me at like 3600cals expended on a judo day. Wat.

I need to double my food intake apparently to eat at maintenance. Jesus Christ.
 
Numbers for martial arts are flawed on most websites.

They assume that you are sparring with barely any rest. However, majority of classes teach technique for the majority of the time, coupled with some extra rolling.

I remember when I jogged for an hour with several minutes of stops - that was around 1000 calories or a bit more, even when I am doing classes with sparring - they don't approach the same intensity. Unless you are in heavy sparring sessions - than I would suggest around 300-500 calories per hour of Judo.
 
That makes my numbers a bit more sane. I'll probably assume a 1000kcal output for normal classes, and 1400 for our competition prep stuff which is 2 hours sparring basically nonstop.
 
So this fitness pal thing is suggesting 1750 kcal net daily in order to drop a pound a week. I think I'll log with this app for 2-3 weeks, keep close-ish to this suggestion, and see how it goes. I'll eat as clean as possible, adhering to my basic plan, and loosen up on snacks, basically.

Went camping and blew the fuck out of my eating this weekend. Beer, steak, junk food, it wasn't a good thing for my nutrition goals. However, it was a great time and would again.

Yeah for sure man, it snowballs like a mother fucker every time I eat something I shouldn't and blows out 2-3 days worth of eating. Definitely gotta get more consistent with it.

You are entitled to the odd cheat. Personally, I am against it however, I have heard some bro science supported with some scientific fact suggesting a cheat meal can be beneficial for you.

I am older (mid 20s). I prefer the old school way of things. Older equipment. Pumping iron gyms... basement like, grimmy. Fuck fancy machines and workout gear.

I don't usually completely blow it out when I cheat, it's usually adding carbs like French fries or getting deep fried food. Every time I cheat I try to go big with meat sources, usually steak, mostly because at least it keeps protein high and a little because all of the yuppies and soccer moms are always on about how red meat is bad for you.

In a unrelated topic, I was posting about men today, and all wanting to be pretty boys. Its fucked. Who gives a fuck man? Just stay on course.

My new job is about as yuppie as it gets, so I've made a promise to myself to keep lifting to fight off the pussification. I fuckin hate the pretty boy bullshit too. I just want to be strong and awesome.
