Like if I want to I can keep the foot perfectly still and get maximum twist from the ground up. But if the foot doesn't twist around I can get the leg into the punch so some twist is necessary.

Do you intentionally ease up on the pressure to allow the foot to twist some?

Do you gauge how much you relieve the ground pressure just make an estimate to get the foot twist but also to get good rotational "push off" or a better praise would be "twist off" since you are using friction and grip to twist from.

Ok I think I get it do you twist all the way but sink your weight onto one foot as much as you can without it stopping the foot from twisting is that optimal?

ALL pro boxers nearly completely leave the foot behind or they only twist it a little so thats another option......

Don’t overthink it.
Every punch should make your back thigh really burn. Like you’re using your legs

SOrry shouldnt have created another thread for this should have added it to another one just like it

The foot will naturally twist if you do it right. The twisting foot is naturally planted to the ground.
