There is not very much known about the MiG-41 because everything about this plane, just like with all top modern military projects, remains classified. The Mikoyan bureau has been working on the design of a long-range interceptor, based on their MiG-31, since 2013 as part of a plan to replace the ageing fleet of MiG-31 fighter jets whose active service life expires in 2028.

Even though the MiG-31 is the fastest military aircraft around, it will eventually have to make way for newer and more advanced types of aircraft.

The main features of the MiG-41 are not yet known, but it is reported that the MiG-41 is designed to fly at Mach 4.0 and even Mach 4.3.

I think that might be a bit mistranslated. They are probably saying stratosphere, just above ozone layer. If they're flying at that altitude, it will need to have massive thrust from its engines since the air up there is too thin to generate significant lift.

Doubt it. Looks like the American F-35. The Russians either steal the technology from the U.S. or do minor upgrades to their tanks, planes, and ships. That's why they keep it classified. They want to keep the Americans guessing. Like Kim Jong-un in North Korea. There is no way that plane would reach Mach 4.0. The F-35 top speed is Mach 1.6. The SR-71 Blackbird's top speed is Mach 3.3. Still the fastest plane in the world, from 1966. The X-15 reaches Mach 6.7, but that is a flying rocket, not a plane, from 1967. Sounds like some Kim Jong-un propaganda.

true, we also know how to make a plane like that, we just dont because well congress is retarded.

Fool some idiot nation into spending billions. India for T50 now some arabs for new small stealth mig.

Mig 25s operation speed was mach 2.8 , and could hit mach 3. In the 60/70s.

A few of its records still stand.

US didn't crap bricks and build a bigger nuke arsenal then the Soviets for shit and giggles
