Ryse Son of Rome still has the best gfx ever **UPDATE** Now it's Far Cry Primal

Well its definitely not The Witcher 3

That game looks good but not even as good as the more recent AssCreeds or Frostbite engine games

Far Cry 5 is gonna be another bar raiser most likely

Spot on about the cohesive looks. The overall image of the different skys, road/dirt textures, foliage, and vehicles makes it look so alive.

The cinematic camera also is fucking incredible. I wish more games allowed a dynamic ghost view camera. It seems trivial but the different angles make the same textures actually look completely different.

If you stop a car in GTA V and hit the cinematic camera and just switch views, it feels like you are teleporting to different places. Lol

The cinematic camera added like 200+ hours of gameplay for me, lol.

Far Cry 3 doesn't hold up at all actually, the engine felt like jank during those years and the shadowing system is fugly

Primal is on another level from it

I won't compare other assets, just some environments:

This game and Battlefront 2 have the most unbelievable landscapes (even if they don'ts stretch for days like Arma: quality > quantity).
