Should becoming a moderator be an elected position ?

Thoughts? While there certainly are some decent mods out there that try to be fair and just when dealing out forum justice, there are others that take their position to the extreme. I'm tagging the mods that are online now to get their opinions on this subject. My goal isn't to bash or call out individual moderators, it's simply to discuss whether or not it should be a lifetime appointment.

the debates would be interesting. I nominate @Zer or @Clippy to moderate such debates. We have issues we need answers to.

I havent had yellows in years now. I guess being here for so long makes them hesitate on it, because i drunk post on the reg.

I got no beef with any of them. It used to be really bad here with power tripping mods.
