Should you stretch on rest days?

I don't, because it feels like it makes my muscles heal slower. Perhaps from retearing while stretching after the initial workout tears the muscle. That just my reasoning and I have no science behind it. Anybody got the facts?
 
I cast my arms and legs for 48hrs between work outs. That way I don't wear out my body by moving around and I'm fresh for my next session.
 
I always sit in yoga poses but once I noted that previous to judo is not the best thing to do XD
Always do a little stretch after training.
 
I'll have to since my hips are just locked when I kick.
