Slaughter BOTS (AI drones) Capable of targeting you based on politics, beliefs, social media, etc.

Ffs you're a hysterical bitch. Stop flailing & blowing hard. Glad you believe in the unfailing benevolence of mankind to use everything for handholding and kumbaya singing. Being niave and having dissonance is a great look for you're twat ass.

The fact that modern day drones are capable of what specialists, university, and leading AI entrepreneurs are warning us about, yet you (a fucking nobody) says oh no, this will never happen!? Lmao!

And you wonder why several other posters in this thread regard you're opinion as little more then being an intellectual hack.

Don't worry buddy, no slaughterbot will ever target you because you are of literally no intellectual threat outside of being a lemming.
Several other posters? You mean That loon @Scyther or Viva? Like i give a shit about them.

You just proved my point. You literally didn't address a single thing i said, as you know you have no rebuttal for it. Not one AI bot currently has the power to do what you are suggesting. Maybe in the future, but not currently. Even then only the.Gov will have it, so i am not seeing a problem.

Lemming.. Nice.. Much painful, so hurt..

Prove you don't want to return us to the dark ages then fundamentalist. As everything you ever say in any thread says other wise.

Look at the bullshit they espouse. Same kind of ignorant stupidity as practiced by ISIS and extremist Islam, with their rejection of science and technology. Look at the words they use, likening it to mark of the beast.. I mean that is the height of ignorance.

So you're confirming that the mere act of being Christian is the equivalent of being and ISIS extremist. Sounds like hate speech to me.

No, but indent see what that has to do with anything.

If Google almost has self driving cars, what would make you think the military didn't have it 20 years ago?
That's the difference between real life technology and the media version of it.
Driving a car on a highway is a mindnumbing, easy to automate technology. These self driving cars follow GPS coordinates, the white lines on the road and have sensors so they don't crash into something.
That's basically what autopilots do for airplanes since forever. But it needed cheaper access to GPS and onboard computers, that was expensive for civilian applications.
That's completely different from a drone steering itself through unknown terrain(except if the powers that be have also scanned your house) trying to find somebody to kill with a small charge, which means it needs to be precise.
Military UAVs cost millions of dollars, need operators and still kill more civilians than intended targets. A small toy, because that's what these drones are, is not a new threat.

However, if the point of the thread is to point out there are incredibly dangerous weapons that can kill many people in the hand of powerful governments, it's true. If some evil government wants you dead they can drone strike you, they can send a conventional fighter-bomber to drop a laser guided bomb on you, they can send you a letter with anthrax, they can hire somebody to put a bullet in your head, they can inject you with some polonium using a fake walking stick that shoots radioactive needles or they can just arrest you on false charges and shoot you and say it was an accident.

You are not being realistic. Effectiveness. They would not be effective. Not currently. No casualties? Sure. We would gain nothing though, as they would have shot down the drones as fast as we can make them.

You need to leave science fiction behind, we are years away from being able to replace soldiers with ai.
It also makes no sense that some people think this would be any deadlier than nukes and would cause no retribution to the people that use it.
If any military dropped a swarm of drones to kill an entire city they would be treated just like if they used a neutron bomb to kill everybody. That is, it would cause escalation and its enemies would start using the same stuff.
That is, the USA uses a swarm of sci-fi drones to destroy north korea, china goes on and uses real life nukes and take taiwan.

Meanwhile in real life these are the killer drones we have, small drones are so flimsy due to physics even the recoil of a gun fucks it up, things like wind make it impossible to fly these drones.

Imagine what real AAA could do to this swarm of drone bullshit

I think my point is that drone swarms are as dangerous a form of warfare, as nukes are, minus the radiation.

We need AI weapons treatise, as we have for nukes.

sounds like the algorithm from winter soldier.

Yet you two in this thread and others are constantly railing against all forms of advanced technology. Every. Single.One.
I've only posted in this thread twice. Once telling that other poster about the moon landing hoax and the other talking to you. I didn't rail against any technology.

So the guy was right. Several other posters (perhaps even more I haven't read through this thread) do not regard your opinion too well.

You accuse this guy of not addressing any of the points you made yet in that long post I made to you, you addressed not one point I made. I think you need to reexamine the positions you've taken and realistically look over your responses and figure out where they are weak and others find fault with them.

Exactly but it doesn't fit their narrative if they use the actual truth.

What treatise are you referring too? We still have them and still have the capability of deploying them in mere minutes.

Scyther you didnt make a single coherent point. Like your circlejerk buddy @mcveteran81 it was just more tin foil hat nonsense.

So you're confirming that the mere act of being Christian is the equivalent of being and ISIS extremist. Sounds like hate speech to me.
Not what i said, but nice try. #GolfClap. I was specifically addressing those two people, and how their "views and ideologies" sound exactly like fundamentalist/extremist Christendom/Islam. I have met plenty of non lunatic Christians, that're moderate in their beliefs. Most of them are not the type that thinks all advanced tech is "mark of the beast".

Or is A moon denier, or flat earther, or believes in stupid walking apes in US, that clearly do not exist. 14 million hunters, killing tens of millions of animals, in every corner of the country and not one ever has brought one in..

It'd be more like the treaty on chemical and biological weapons.

It'd be more like the treaty on chemical and biological weapons.
But we still have those as well.. When i went to college, i was only 20 minutes away from a chem weapon repository. Though, i do not know if we have any still in weapon ready form. So i can concede on the Bio/Chem weapons.

It's probably the NPT. It basically says you won't build nuclear weapons. However, nobody is going to stop the big boys(or Israel and North Korea) from building them. A country like the USA, Russia or China will not handicap itself and not building the most effective weapon possible.
They ditched bio/chem weapons because they're not very useful for their goals.
Chemical weapons pale in comparison to nuclear weapons and carry a similar degree of public outrage if used in huge amounts. Small amounts like Assad used are not more effective than conventional weapons if you're a powerful country.
Biological weapons can be VERY destructive but are as of now, not controllable. Most likely these countries are still researching them, for security purposes, of course.

It's hopeless anyway, Israel, Pakistan or North Korea would get an advantage by building killer drones they would do so in secret and nobody would stop them because they have nukes.

Wow this thread got heated up!!

Damn!!! So much hate so much name calling!!

All fun and games and science fiction...until it isn't. There's an obvious upside to having drones, but there's also an obvious downside to their existence as well.

People think guns are bad? Imagine what drones in the wrong hands could lead to.

They've already been working on how to integrate drones into our national airspace. Back in 2013 Schumer was lobbying for testing them in upstate NY, and now they are.

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index....as_national_test_site_for_drone_research.html

People think it's a great idea. It boosts local economies and creates jobs. Sweet. But I guarantee once the skies above their heads are absolutely swarming with them, people won't think it's so cool anymore.
