Yes - the losses to Masvidal, Lawler, Till and Edwards show that he's reached some kind of gatekeeper status now.

But arguably, the best era in Cowboy's career was the run he was going on up until he lost to Masvidal in 2017.
He was 12-1 with his only loss being a title fight, and his last 4 fights after that all being wins by finish.
