Facts:
- Conor has enough money, UFC can not top the 100 million he made from the Floyd fight
- Conor has a huge ego
- Ergo: ego is the way to go

Steps to take from a UFC perspective:
- Strip him of his title and devaluate his worth as a fighter, also hurt his ego.
- Tell the media he got gifted fights and is not the best fighter (Dana, looking at you, do your thing)
- Let Khabib and Tony fight for the true belt, they deserve it
- Be offensive, take control
- Bash Conor in any way possible like UFC did with a lot of other fighters
- Offer Conor a chance to regain his title for 20 million, if not fuck you
- Make the money fight, if negotiations fail, bash him more and call him scared and promote Khabib or Tony.

What UFC is doing now, basically protecting Conor and defending him, is counter productive. They are only boosting his market value, which they shouldn't do since they can't pay him even at this point.

Devaluate, negotiate, and if it fails fuck him and bash him. They did it before.

It's possible they'll go down that road, they already took similar measures when their stars got out of line in the past. I'm not sure they're there yet in their relation with Conor.

I doubt the UFC does that, but Artem filing for divorce and going after half of that 100 million might get the ball rolling.

Imo protecting him as a BAD decision from a business point of view... only thing i can come up with is they are afraid he will leave UFC and goes boxing.

Apart from that, as far as MMA goes he has nowhere to go. Bellator can never match UFC from a financial pov, and also who gives a fuck about the Bellator champ. Conor's ego will not allow it.

Conor's going to end up devaluing himself. He thinks he's bigger than the sport itself, when MMA wouldn't so much as skip a beat if Conor vanished from the face of the earth. Pretty much everyone other than a few nuthuggers knows he'd get humiliated by most of the lightweight top ten, and if he ends up getting another boxing fight he'll be 0-2 in boxing. His $100 million payday or however much he made against Floyd was a one and done kind of thing. It's all downhill for him from here.

Just threaten to strip him... And tell him Artem loses his job too if Colin doesn't fight.

That...actually doesn't sound like a bad idea <mma4>

do you have a recent quote of them protecting him?

I always thought if Conor pisses Dana off enough he'll magically fail a USADA test.

UFC enabled him to be in this position. they CO PROMOTED for the floyd fight, they have nobody to blame but themselves and they know this which is why he hasn't been stripped and they are doing everything possible to get him to come back

Business is business.. you can promote him to make money off the Floyd fight.. and you can also devaluate him to make more money from his next MMA fight.

Hell no UFC gives a shit about their relationship with Conor, they have to figure out how to make money.

Also, give the belt to either Tony or Khabib, either by fighting Conor or stripping him.
