Stomp kicks - why so rare in glory/K-1/Muay Thai

People have constructed such a strange, hilarious mystique around this move.

If someone is throwing it, and all you do is think, "gee golly, this isn't honoraburu", instead of making the slight adjustments necessary to address it - the problem isn't the move, it's the practitioners.

Seriously, you just see guys continue to plod forward into the kick instead of lightening up their weight distribution of their front leg and I assume it's because of lack of education around it. When this weird mystified stigma starts to circulate around moves, everyone loses because no one adapts.

It's like leglocks 5 years ago. You'd get these purple belts that thought a heelhook exploded your knee if ever dared in a roll, then they're in the advanced division wondering why they've never drilled an escape.
