It's time for the government to get off Lance Armstrong's back
ROFL, is this fucking real life? What happened to journalism?

@therealdope because you probably aren't pissed off this morning, and I wanted to ruin that.

Who cares what the Guardian has to say - LMAO!. THe uni-baller should live in shame for being a POS. Maybe he should spill the beans on Nike's involvement and who funded their drug operation.

I'm on team Lance. Dude has likely done more for Cancer research than any man or woman alive. Sure he juiced, but who wasn't, and while lying under oath is a shitty move, his motivations are understandable. Like Bill burr said: " our cheater is better than your cheater".

We've probably all been impacted by cancer in our families in one way or another, so I understand the urge to give Lance the benefit of the doubt is strong. I felt similar to you for a while.

But read up on what he's been accused of. It goes beyond just doping. He was blackmailing riders, destroying their careers, and intimidating anyone who could possibly stand against him. He comes off as more of a scummy Mafioso than the leader of a cycling team. He should never be forgiven.

It's time to realize that the man wasn't Jeffery Dahmer-evil for cheating in some shitty sport, and used his position in life for a lot of good.

Too bad it isn't time for The Guardian to go out of business.

Exactly. The tradeoff has been astronomically positive at worst

What does that have to do with rational consequences?

What is a rational punishment in this case? I don't think it's awarding a sponsor that had a mutually beneficial, and prosperous relationship with him, during his time in the spotlight. If they want to play that game, they should calculate all the money he made for them in that time, and donate it to charity, before they take another dime from him.

or maybe give it to the people whose lives and careers and families he fucked over...Lance is a sociopath who deserves to lose everything...I also have no problem with his sponsors, who were complicit, being sued...fuck them all...

The Terry Fox run has raised more funds for cancer research than Livestrong...

Pharmstrong couldn't carry either of Terry Fox's balls because they were brass and the size of basketballs.

Except he's being sued because the postal service didn't like that he admitted he was on PEDs.
