The fact that Nate is tough and aggressive does not mean in any way that he can’t be a gatekeeper... what do you think that word means TS? Nate is clearly not champion material as evidenced by his spoty record. Great fighter sure. I also think he is a bad stylistic match for Conor and said so when Nate first called him out. I think Conor is beating fighters that outrank Nate and I think of Conor had a pong career at LW he would do better than Nate. I still don’t think he beats Nate though because styles make fights

I’m getting really tired of debating with half wit know-nothings about Conor and his obvious talent.

I get that in some ways Sherdog has turned into a troll forum but for gods sakes we gotta have some guys talk some basic common sense every once in awhile.

What Conor has done is truly legendary. I think even you Conor haters know that in the back of your jealous minds.

I get that some of his fans are annoying. But god damn let’s enjoy this guy while we can.

I’m not easily triggered, but nothing triggers me so much as some asshat posting on an mma forum about how Floyd destroyed Conor when in reality Conor beat Floyd til he gassed. And even then powerless Floyd couldn’t knock him out. Damn that’s your guys hero? A guy who has literally ran from fights?

And I get that a lot of you are truly idiots that start to believe the Sherdog bs of Nate Diaz being a gatekeeper. If he’s a gatekeeper, he’s a damn tough and aggressive one. And the reality is he truly was much bigger than Conor in both fights.

The bottom line is I’m tired of our world turning into a place where we worship balless guys like Floyd who cherry pick opponents, and then try to discredit Conor who got choked out by one of the toughest, meanest fighters in the UFC and took the fight knowing full well he could lose.

Men that I respect have courage. Conor has it. I get that it’s annoying he also loves money, I don’t like that part of him. If you want to hate him for being a greedy son of a bitch then I’ll propably even nod my head and say “you may have a point there.”

But to say he has dodged anyone in his career is complete bullshit.

Canelo Alvarez is a legit fucking stud, who is huge compared to Floyd(20 to 25 lbs heavier), and a vicious power puncher. He had never lost when Floyd faced him. You don't watch boxing obviously

I already stated I know Floyd’s gameplay of waiting til he tired out his opponent by his second to none defense then throwing pitter patter punches into an exhausted guy.

Conor beat himself in that fight ny playing into Floyd’s defensive pussy foot game.

I don’t get why you respect a fighter that doesn’t take risks and chooses the safe defensive route every fight.

Say what you want about Conor, but you can’t say he doesn’t go for the killl every single fight.

That fight wasn't about mayweather playing it safe as you indicated. If you have watched his past fights you would note that he has a high striking output. In the first 3 rounds, he barely threw but blocked and slipped.

The reason is pretty obvious. He knew Conor wasn't a threat but also wanted to ensure the fans got a show. 100 dollar Ppv, he knew the fans didn't want to see Conor folded up in the 2nd round.

This isn't a case where he fought defensively out of respect for his opponents striking but rather because he is a showman and wanted to give everyone a show.

When his output increased in the late rounds Conor had no answer. Statistically maywesther is very accurate with his punches. He could have connected at will I'm the first couple of rounds but chose not to. It's not like Conor had the requisite skill to avoid the shots

Mayweather toyed with Conor for the fans benefit. From wrestling parlance, he put him over.

At no point was Conor in control of the fight or winning it. Floyd let Conor look good for a few rounds and once he felt that had been accomplished took him out.

If you look at the volume of strikes mayweather typically threw in actual boxing matches compared to the volume the first 3 rounds of this match you'll get a good idea of what was really happening

As I stated before,a anyone that boxed or is a boxing fan (I boxed and was a fan for many years) could see the dynamic of the fight.

Don't feel bad for Conor, he knew he was going to lose but I'd say 100 million payday is all kinds of win
