The most racist sports team in the world

Why is a thread about Israel's racist society littered with comments about WWII, and now Russia?
 
I'm mad jelly of Israel. They get to say and do whatever they want without having to give the world a feel good story as to why they are doing it.

There's sports teams everywhere in eastern Europe that are full with racism. Especially in Russia.

The kids in Israel are chanting "Death to Arabs!"

What are the Russian kids chanting? Death to what race?
 
When Israelis do racism, no fuks given, give them a pass because holocaust. But if some people express anti-semitism, force them to go to Auschwitz, to read Anne Frank, visit a synagogue and dedicate a whole week to Israel and Jews.

What does the Jewish racist football club do about the blatant racism? Absolutely nothing.

What are you talking about? The racist fan group La Familia was a few years ago recognized as a hate group in Israel. Over 50 of these fans have been arrested directly related to their behavior at games, many more have been fined for hate speech. They even recently shut down the section of the stands where these fans congregate.

Nobody is going to stick up for racists, but yes they unfortunately exist in every society. But you’re wrong that nobody is doing anything about it. Most Jews are as embarrassed about our racist right wing as any other sane people.

Here’s just a couple from other Soccer games:

HOLLAND - In April, following Feyenoord’s 2-1 victory over Utrecht in the Dutch Cup match, a group of fans started chanting “Jews to the gas!” and “Hamas, Hamas”. Earlier in the year, PSV Eindhoven fans chanted, “If you don’t jump, you’re a Jew, and all Jews must die.”
• ITALY - In October, FIFA, the international football governing body, imposed a fine of more than $30,000 on Italy’s national team for the anti-Semitic behavior of some of its fans at a match in Haifa. Some of Team Italy’s fans gave the fascist salute during the playing of the national anthems before the match with Israel’s national team.
• BRITAIN - At the end of November, fans of a British soccer team were filmed singing anti-Semitic chants on a London subway. The chant by backers of the Chelsea club followed the team’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur, which has many Jewish fans. They chanted, “I’ve got foreskin, how about you? F****** Jew.”
• CROATIA - Chants of “Za dom spremni” (“Ready for the homeland”) and “Mi Hrvati! Ustasha, Ustasha!” (“We Croatians! Ustasha, Ustasha!”) clearly express support for a country whose WWII government organized the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of its minorities and political opponents,” according to SWC’s Eastern European Affairs Director Dr. Efraim Zuroff. • POLAND - In August, a group of Polish soccer fans put on a horrifying display of anti-Semitism, by setting fire to effigies of stereotypical Jews and parading a banner calling for the burning of Jewish people. Dozens of fans of the Widzew Lodz football team had gathered outside a local train station to rally against rival team LKS Lodz. They unfurled an anti-Semitic banner which read, “19.08, today the Jews got a name. “Let them burn, motherfu**ers.” Photos take of the rally show effigies dressed as Orthodox Jews being strung from rope and set on fire.

There’s lots of racism, anti Semitism, and homophobia in soccer/football all over the world.

The Jews, blacks, Arabs and all sorts of other races.
Probably not that known in the US. But there are some real racists supporters clubs even in Western Europe.
Someone already brought up Lazio Rom. In Germany as well. In the lower leagues especially in Eastern Europe, you have some real racist Ultra and hooligan groups.
Legit Neo-Nazi groups are usually also hooligans or at least a lot of them run with a firm.

It is now more in the lower leagues. But it is not that uncommon to have German hools and supporters scream stuff like "We have taken back Poland", Sieg Heil or do the Nazi salute.
When they play in Eastern Europe. Hooligans groups in Germany and Eastern Europe are also often Far right or in Germany Neo-Nazi groups.
 
Side note - Why does soccer attract this kind of behavior? It's in almost every nation where it's played.

Cant speak for the other but I can tell you that the Holland one has more to do with those fans hating Ajax (which are known as "The Jews") than being actual anti-semitism. Of course it's still a shitty thing to say.

Have you ever watched soccer? You gotta to be a full on moron to enjoy that for 90 minutes.

Seriously though, there's probably whole books written on this subject. It's a combination of the popularity of the sport (which results in a larger portion of the population being involved, thus also the worst elements), the very strong team element tied with nationalism or love your city (not sure what the word is) and bar culture.
 
since 1936? man these youngsters trying to get in on the sectarian football scene huh?

Sectarian football teams have been a thing in Scotland since 1873(getting even worse after 1888).... and both teams discriminated against other christians(protestants vs catholics). although now they will sign players of opposite faiths, it never happened back in the day. so I guess we've made some progress lol
