This is a dumb team to pick this fight with.

The Eagles players at the forefront of this conversation are ones that can't be written off as just a rich athlete with a megaphone that doesn't know what they are talking about. They are articulate and involved in proactive measures regarding this and other social issues.

People will still try to go the dumb athlete route, but it falls flat here. We've seen a few posters try to go to that well here. Funny that they have a problem with dumb athletes that only got through college because of sports (even though that isn't applicable here) but no problem with a guy born into money getting a college degree bought for him (among other things).
 


If he wants to keep this uber-patriot shtick up, you'd think that he could invest the effort to learn these songs.

Actually, who am I kidding? This has nothing to do with the anthem or respecting the troops. MAGAs get a kick out of Trump constantly shitting on rich black athletes. They know that he's full of shit on every issue and don't care so long as he's constantly infuriating every group of people that they hate.

A big factor behind this issue for Trump too is his sour grapes that the NFL wouldn't let someone of his character into the NFL when he was trying to get his USFL franchise into the league, and that for his lawsuit against the NFL he was only awarded $1 by the jury <Lmaoo> when he was seeking $1.25 Billion.

Trump really picked the wrong team.

Something like 12 players were baptized during the year. The Coach, both QBs and all of the team leaders are Big time Christians.

The team protested by raising a fist during the anthem to keep away from the kneeling distraction.

The leader behind the protest Malcolm Jenkins was regularly attending cop ride alongs and town halls between the Police and Community. He also visited Lawmakers in Congress to talk about the issues he sees.

These guys regularly visit children hospitals, build playgrounds etc....

Chris Long is probably the most vocal after Jenkins and he donated all of his Game Checks from the season to educational charities and is building water wells in Africa.

Carson Wentz just raised around $1M for Haiti.

Trump just picked a fight with a Christians that are actually educated and Uber involved in charitable endeavors.
